    Hi Rachel,

I am sorry this has taken me so long to get round to, but since we returned from our holiday we became grandparents and have been a bit busy.

Anyhow, thank you for arranging a brilliant trip to Canyonlands. We had a great time and wanted to report back and let you know that.

We could not believe the awesome geology and all the accommodation was great. The hints of where to go and where to eat were also much appreciated.

The only hitch with accommodation was at the Amara Resort in Sedona where we had been promised king whirlpool rooms. Only one was given to us, but we negotiated for a free breakfast and shared the whirlpool which worked out fine.

The tip to buy the National Parks pass saved us a lot of dollars. It is now 80$, not the 50$ you mentioned, but it still was very good value.

Anyway, the Grand Canyon was really exciting, Zion was superb, Bryce was beautiful and we successfully completed quite a challenging trail down and back up again. We did a tour of the Glen Canyon Dam on our way to Zion, which was also very interesting. The helicopter trip was exhilarating and the Moab excursion absolutely brilliant.

THANK YOU very much for arranging out trip of a lifetime.

We will certainly come back to you to go on another fly drive, possibly to take in Yosemite next time.

    Hi

Just back from a wonderful trip to the Grand Canyon country. Everything worked exactly as we’d hoped. Your route was fantastic, we didn’t realise we would see so much stunning scenery in two weeks. We thought the 3 days in Sedona at the end were just great as we had the opportunity to relax, especially as the temperature reached 100! The hotels were all very good and in very handy places.

Thanks very much for a memorable time.

    Yours,

    Philip and Kathryn

It is now over two weeks since we returned from our holiday to Phoenix and Grand Canyon that you arranged for us and I felt it only appropriate to write to you to express our thanks.

It was quite simply, the best holiday of our lives! From our arrival at Manchester Airport to our return to Heathrow things could not have gone better. Sadly, we were unfortunate enough to get caught up in the Terminal 5 ‘fiasco’ and were delayed about 7 hours, but on the bright side, we did get our luggage back! That shambles was obviously out of your hands and we were determined not to let that final experience take the shine off an otherwise perfect holiday.

Everything we asked of you was provided and we had nothing to worry about at any time – all hotels were paid for before we arrived, so we had no hassle at all. The satnav (‘Darlene’ as we called her!) was superb and made the slightly scary drive back to the Hertz depot at Phoenix Airport easy.

Finally with so much of Arizona still to discover, I can assure that we will definitely be returning to the USA again in the near future and will not hesitate to use your services again. Indeed, we have already been recommending you to friends and relatives.

So thanks again, for a truly wonderful holiday!

    Alyn

It’s worth noting that since the much publicised problems at Terminal 5 things have settled down and our sales team on their recent visit to San Francisco found the terminal to be excellent in all aspects.

Roger and all at Complete North America.

The holiday was excellent-many thanks for the superb organisation, great route, right amount of time at each location, right advice on where to stop and lovely accomodation.

A few suggestions for future itineraries:
1: Car Rental–Hertz Never Lost Sat Nav.–have this set up and Explained by Hertz before taking car as its complicated for 1st time users.
2: Food at some resorts can be very disappointing. Advice–send it back if cold or buy a BBQ.and visit food store.
3: Suggested trips, evening excursions etc.should be booked in advance to avoid being unavailable as they are booked up by time of arrival at resort. Moab river night boat trip especially.
4: Wonderland Inn in Torrey- lovely place and people–do 2 hr easy walk river bed in canyon.
5: Rest places en route of note- Hwy 12 Torrey-Bryce –A MUST—Call in at KIVA KOTTAGE Escalante. Lovely restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Most on this trip should arrive for lunch.

Another excellent place is the Twin Rocks Cafe, Bluff,Utah. en route to Monument Valley. Great fresh food and tourist shop.
6: A must if wanting to see all of the Grand Canyon -CNA pre-booked fixed wing flight, then Helicopter descent to rim floor, boat ride on Colorado river, light meal and return. Great experience.
7:Hummer trip in Moab. Unbelievable! Hell’s Revenge!!!
8: Camelback Inn Scottsdale and Amara Creekside Sedona 1st and last stops –excellent.

We all enjoyed it so much,
    Many thanks

    Dear David

I have finally got round to write and congratulate you and your team in providing us with one of the best holiday’s we’ve ever experienced (June 2007). It was all so well organised it just flowed seamlessly and to us effortlessly. There were no delays or problems at all.
The Grand Canyon Tour was delightful, the accommodation couldn’t be faulted and the handy tips of where to detour to and things to look at was invaluable. We couldn’t believe the number of National Parks we could get round in 14 days. We did tweak the itinerary a little moving the extra nights at the start and end of the holiday into the tour so that we had two nights in most places to give us more time to explore the parks and we were glad we did. So the flexibility you offered was greatly appreciated too.

We normally organise our own holiday’s as we like the freedom to do what we want when we want to do it, but you really did take all the hassle out of booking and researching the hotels ourselves. With your knowledge of the places and accommodation we soon realised we
were getting value for money and the right choices in where to stay.
We couldn’t have made those good choices had we done it ourselves. I also checked out a number of the accommodations and flights for prices and we couldn’t beat your prices if we had done it ourselves either. We never once felt as though we were on an organised holiday, nor running with the crowd We were highly impressed.

We had such a good experience this year that we will most likely be using your company again for next year’s holiday. This time though we may have to use the individually tailored service as you don’t appear to have an itinerary for California, Napa Valley and Yosemite. I will be in touch again, once we have decided just where we would like to go.

Thank you once again for a brilliant and hassle free holiday.

    Best wishes

    Wendy

Just to say we have just got back from a holiday of a life time.Your itinerary was spot on and your suggestions of where to walk and eat were really good. A few years ago we went to the USA with another company and the hotels they chose were often sub-standard and in one case they had forgotten to book us in. This time we were able to rely totally on your suggestions and trust your company. The only hotel we didn’t particularly like was ‘Wonderland’ in Torrey but as it was only one night we were not too bothered. Everywhere else was wonderful, although we were disappointed we didn’t get into Gouldings, especially when we visited there for lunch we found there were vacancies for the night. The Holiday Inn at Kayenta was very strict about not booking in before 4pm but all the other places were extremely flexible.
Once again thank you for a wonderful holiday that we will never forget and we would certainly recommend your company to anyone traveling to North America.

Whilst the Wonderland Inn is a pretty basic motel, we have found it to be clean and comfortable and with such a limited choice of accommodation in the Capitol Reef area we feel it is the best option for 1 night. Arriving at Gouldings Lodge to find vacancies after being told it was full at the time of booking is unfortunate and fustrating but this is almost certainly down to last minute cancellationas or no-shows.

    Hi

Anne and I would just like to thank your company for arranging our recent Canyonlands holiday. Everything went very smoothly (flights, car hire, maps, directions, suggested routes, etc.) and we had a wonderful holiday.

The holiday was excellent and the fact that everything was so well planned and organised went a long way towards this.

    Thanks again

We have just finished our holiday organised by your company and I write to express our appreciation. We found our holiday impeccably organised with good, well located accommodation throughout. All details were attended to and the provisionof maps and directions for all our destinations was excellent(apart from one small glitch). All we had to do was send a couple of e-mails and we had a complicated and far-ranging holiday organised for us. Our only problem was the delay of the start of our holiday by 2 days due to the Glasgow airport bomb attempt- nothing to do you. Thank you, Clare

Clare did our Grand Canyon Country itinerary with one or two amendments most notably the addition of a stopover in New York - nice touch!

    Hello Roger,

Just returned from the great holiday you organised for us. Everything went very well indeed (including weather in the 40’s in the Canyons) and we just wanted to thank you for another good holiday. Nearly missed the flight over the Grand Canyon due to gusty weather!!! but were able to re arrange for the following day, thankfully - it was one of the many highlights. El Tovar is a funny place!! good location though.

We especially liked Sorrell River Ranch and both Spa Hotels in Scottsdale and Sedona. Bellagio was fine and we loved the fountains!!! Generally we didn’t like Vegas though - but we knew it was the only way through to San Diego which is lovely. Lowes Coronado excellent too, fantastic service - however lots of people there, families, conferences etc so if you were not in the block furthest away from the main scene, it could have been noisy. We were in the right place and it was fine. But just a thought for others you might book.

Bit unprepared for the ‘odd’ drink laws in Utah !!!!! but we coped!!!!!

Just one further comment - I think we made the same one last year - the printed suggested itenerary (with places to visit etc on the way) and the Mapquest directions don’t always tally!! Often they are suggesting different routes missing out scenic bits altogether.

Will be planning USA 2008 over the summer, so will be in touch. Thanks for the ‘goodies’ which arrived whilst we were away.

Kind regards and again thanks very much.

    Maralyn and Bill

    CNA Comment -
Maralyn and Bill did a modified version of our Grand Canyon Country itinerary to pull in San Diego. Requests for specific room positions at the Loews Coronado Hotel can be made but not guaranteed. Other room categories or alternative hotels can of course be offered. Conflicts between our suggested touring itinerary and Mapquest do occur from time to time and are unavoidable. For this reason we strongly recommend upgrading your car rental to include Satellite Navigation.

Just to let you know our holiday in the USA was excellent. We had a great time and the itinerary you organised was top-notch. I would certainly recommend your services to all my friends and I will use you again for any trips to North America. The hotels you booked for us were all very good, the car was good and the pick up and drop off was very easy. The maps and directions were spot on and proved extremely useful. In-in-all everything was highly satisfactory. Thank you very much for such a good job.
