    Hello Alistair.

I am just writing to thank you for organising a wonderful holiday for us travelling Route 66 in the USA. We had a fantastic time and everything went completely to your plan. Our highlights were the Gran Canyon, Chicago and St Louis but Santa Fe and Albequeque were also great. I would recommend your tour to anyone who enjoys driving and is organised. We also thought the hotel choice was very good with few issues.

The compact car choice was adequate – we had a vw beetle which brought back memories of our first ever car, however this new version certainly had more power and did all we asked of it. Sadly the satnav didn’t work, however we managed to get it changed by Alamo on route, and we were very glad of it, I feel it is essential for this kind of holiday.

I am so glad you persuaded us to take 3 weeks. We would have missed so much trying to fit it into 2 weeks and with hindsight we would have like another night in Oklahoma, where we only had 1 night, and an extra night in the Gran Canyon would have been good too. I think we will have to go back and do some of it again!

Anyway I just wanted to thank you for your efforts and to let you know how much we enjoyed our trip.

    Best wishes
    Vicki and Keith Elliott

Hi Charlotte, just writing to thank you for a fantastic holiday, it was everything i dreamed it would be & more.
It’s an amazing journey, one i have always dreamed of making & now iv’e done it!
The trip went like clockwork, your company has done it’s research well & it paid off.
The hotels were very good (the only one i was’nt too keen on was the big taxan) , i think the best big hotel by far was ‘the Colcord’ in Oklahoma city,
the town was a very pleasant surprise too.
another favorite was ‘Motel Safari’ in Tucumcari, it was brilliant & the owner could’nt have been more helpful.
The one thing i will remember above all else will be the kindness & pleasant nature of the american people, they are always willing to stop & talk & help in any way.
It really was a holiday of a lifetime, thank you once again, john

ps- thanks for your help with roy’s lost MP3 player, i believe he filled in the online form & should hear something soon.

    Alistair,

We have returned from a fantastic trip and I wanted to write and thank the Company for such good organisation. Everything went well from start to finish. Your excellent personalised travel document was most helpful. I am glad that we opted to pick up the car on arrival and not have to go back to collect it at the airport. We opted for the extra cover insurance and also upgraded to a 4×4 at not much extra cost. The fact that it was brand new (8 miles on the clock) was a bonus. Alamo were first class with very easy check-in at both ends of the journey.

We hired a satnav from Zintech and it proved invaluable, indeed essential, in our view. Much cheaper than the one from Alamo. Zintech pre -programmed all the hotels into the satnav so that we never were lost and could always find our way home if we went out for the night and so on.

As you know we opted not to go to Las Vegas and went from the Grand Canyon to Needles. A better choice would have been to go to Lake Havasu City (London Bridge) which is infinitely more interesting! We backtracked to Lake Havasu for the morning and realised that it might have been a better choice.

The one slight hiccup regarding accommodation was at the Best Western Desert Villa Inn in Barstow where there seemed to be no knowledge of our booking. Phone calls to the agent’s name on the voucher sorted it after 15 minutes or so.

After being able to use our mobiles in Borneo, South America and other exotic places it came as a shock that they were useless in the USA. We bought a cheap phone that ‘dies’ after 3 months on order to be able to call up assistance if we broke down. It seems that a better option would be to buy a specialist Sim card here before leaving.

After 2 sunny days in Chicago (hope you like the skyline from Lake Michigan at dusk) a rain front went thro’ for 2 days in Illinois and thereafter there were 10 degree above average temps and much sunshine for the rest of the trip. Quirky moment of the journey was meeting a young couple from Birmingham in a BRITISH registered( brought over in a container)1968 Vauxhall Viva van (with spare engine and gearbox) who not only were travelling the States but were regularly racing the van in drag races.

All in all a very memorable and thoroughly enjoyable 3,300 mile trip. Definitely not too tiring as each day’s journey was broken up by sight-seeing and meals.

    Hi Sarah

Thank you for making all the arrangements for our wonderful Route 66 inspired holiday.

We had a fantastic time, making some unforgettable family memories

The location of each hotel was spot-on and it was very pleasant to have the mix of iconic motels and more luxurious accommodation.

We were very pleased with the high quality of communications we have had with Complete North America, with you Sarah and your colleague David. This gave us a strong feeling of trust and confidence from the start of the booking process right through to the completion of our trip.

We will certainly be in touch in future should we decide to holiday in The States again.

    Many thanks

    Sarah Stringer

    Hi Sarah

Just want to say an immense thank you for organizing our itinerary so expertly for our Route 66 & California Coast Holiday. It truly was the holiday of a lifetime and we lapped up Big City and Small Town America as well as the huge variation of landscape and experience on Route 66 itself. The 50s and 60s Diners and the people we met were superb. It was musically and geographically very much the sound track of our lives. We have superb memories of this our first visit to the USA and are now longing to return. The way you set things up for us could not have been bettered: all the right places and some really atmospheric and superbly located motels and hotels as well of course as cabin 10 metres from the rim of the Grand Canyon!

Thanks particularly for re-arranging the pick up time of the 2nd car at such short notice.

    Huge appreciation,

Peter & Ellen Hill and Terry & Elaine Swinhoe

    Hi Charlotte

We are back from our journey on Routh 66 which was fantastic. I wanted to say thanks because it really did go so smoothly…not a hitch with any of the hotels, smooth check in every time and the same with the car and flights. Only one exception (which I called you about on August 4th, leaving what I’m sure was a garbled message) and that was related to the Delta flights from NY to Chicago. We had to pay for baggage on three of our bags. I know that this was a mistake made somewhere along the line because you were very clear that our booking covered everything. However, according to Delta, these internal flights should have been included in the BA flight booking and apparently they weren’t? My guess was that this was an error between BA and Delta but I had no choice but to pay it at the time. Could you look into that and get back to me. I have kept the receipts ($25.00 per bag) and will post them to you if you need them for the refund.

I want to reiterate that in the grand scheme of things this was a rather small blip for us in what was a well organised and smooth trip. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
    Regards
    Cathy

    Dear Charlotte

Apologies for the lateness of this email.

My husband Graham and I would like to thank both you and Complete North America for a great 17 days on our route 66 trip from the 19th May to 4th June 2012.

    From changing our second extra night in Grand Canyon to the excellent Little America in Flagstaff when we found that the Bright Angel Lodge was full;

to booking us into the Rock’n'roll Suite at the Shangri-La in Santa Monica for our last two nights which was a great surprise and one which made a great ending

    to a fabulous holiday.

The only minor accommodation glitch we encountered which you would want to know about was when we arrived at the Omni Majestic Hotel in St.Louis at 11pm to find

that it was full and that they had oversold their rooms. They moved us to the Embassy Suites which was fine, but we thought that you would want to know.

We bought various books in the couple of months before the trip so that we could plan our route and although they were all useful, we hadn’t come across the EZ66 Guide by

Jerry McClanahan before you sent it to us with the tickets and it turned out to be our complete bible so thanks for that. Receiving the map book of America from you also proved

invaluable on the couple of occasions when we ran out of Route 66 signage and got lost.

We had a great time and Complete North America made the holiday better for us than had you not been involved.

We would highly recommend Complete North America and would definitely consider the company again if we were to travel to North America in the future.

    Many thanks once again,

    Kim and Graham Beddoe.

Whilst we know like airlines it is the policy of all major hotel to overbook their room allotment for any one night based on an estimated number of no shows, we are investigating this occurence and do have other hotel options to off any customer wishing to take this holiday and change the hotel in St Louis.

    Hi Alistair

I just wanted to thank you for organising our trip on route 66 in June/July.

To say it was amazing is an understatement. It was everything we hoped for and more. Every day we saw and experienced something that was incredible to see and be part of.

We chose the medium range of hotels and they were ideal. Usually central to where we were staying or, as in the case of the Route 66 hotel and casino in Albuquerque, which was not in the town but an experience in its self and easy to get around from.

We were lucky at the Grand Canyon hotel where we were upgraded to a suite and also on the flight home from LAX we were given a free upgrade to World Traveller plus which made such a difference on the long flight. We also upgraded our vehicle again to an SUV which was worth the extra cost. As we were travelling 2400 miles we wanted the best and most comfortable we could get.

We were glad that we went for the 21 day experience. It meant that we were able to spend longer in places as there were a lot more 2 or 3 day stop overs. Also, I notice that Sante Fe, and the Canyon at Chinle is not included on the 14 day trip. It would have been such a shame to have missed these incredible places.

Thank you again for arranging all of this for us. Dealing with your company made it all so easy and painless and we would certainly use Complete North America again and would have no hesitation in recommending you.

    Regards

    Sylvia Atkins

    Hi Charlotte,

We are just back from your CNA Route 66 trip and as experienced travellers we would like to thank you for this excellent flydrive. The journey was quite an adventure and travelling across the USA certainly gives you an appreciation of the contrasts in American society.

Everything went smoothly without a hitch thanks to your organisation and we had a great time. The arrangements for flights, hotels and the car worked perfectly with no hassles at at all. We can thoroughly recommend all the hotels we stayed at in your value package over the 3 weeks of our trip and we enjoyed the variety of hotel types.

It was a great journey and we managed to clock up 4000 effortless miles between Chicago and L.A. doing many of the Route 66 deviations recommended in the EZ guide you kindly provided making it overall a very worthwhile, rewarding experience.

Thanks again for your help in organising a faultless trip for us and we would certainly not hesitate in recommending CNA to anyone contemplating a trip to North America.

No doubt we will be back to you soon to book another of your trips.

Hi Alistair, Just back from our Route 66 trip, and must thank you very much for making our holiday very special, and one that we will never forget. All our dealings with you were very friendly, professional, and your advice was first class. Even with all the changes we requested, nothing was too much trouble. The hotels that you chose were perfect. Family and friends have asked us what the highlight of our trip was, but how can we pick a favourite when in just 16 days we saw Niagara Falls, walked the Magnificent Mile In Chicago, went on the Tom Sawyer Steamboat on the Mississippi, went to the top of The Gateway Arch in St Louis. We had a steak in The Big Texan in Amariillo, we drove through Monument Valley, and stayed in a cabin overlooking The Grand Canyon. We drove through the Painted Desert, and Petrified Forest, and visited the Ghost Town of Calico. Not forgetting Oklahoma, Albuquerque, and Las Vegas, and the numerous authentic Route 66 diners that we just had to stop in.

We’ve just returned from completing Route 66 from Chicago to LA to mark my father’s 60th birthday. it was quite possibly the best trip we have ever done and that it all thanks to Complete North America. Every day was like a mini holiday, you had no idea what the day would entail, who you would meet or what you would see. there are far too many highlights to note here but we do have over 3,000 photographs to prove it!! We would all thoroughly recommend this trip to one and all. Huge Big thanks to Complete North America!

What a place! Our first time in USA and we decided to do Route 66 for our honeymoon. From our start in Chicago to finish in San Francisco (we tagged a few days on) the trip was one we will never forget. Chicago was wonderful, a plush hotel, city life but yet so sophisticated and such a stylish city.. loved every mintue. We travelled west to all the places mentioned on the tour, Tucumcari was real old 66 and the owners of Motel Safari are lovely. They spent time talking to us and how keen the local are to keep the town on the map. Cant fault any of it, as i said we decided to take a trip up the gold coast and stayed at Monterey and St Luis Obispo. Unfortunatley we didint see much of SLO however the stay in Monterey made up for it. This place is gorgeous, quiet and relaxed with the beauty of the gold coast. Check out the candy shop on the Pier OMG!!! Never had candy/chocolate like it!!! San Francisco is just out of this world. Such a welcoming place, so friendly and we were really upset to leave.

    Dear Alistair,

I meant to contact you for some feedback on our return from US (02/10) and now find I already disposed of documents with our booking reference. However, we were booked on your Route 66 road trip and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Hotel accomodation was generally excellent, car hire was also excellent although we took advantage of a good offer to upgrade ($11/day). Some of distances were a bit long especially when we tried to use original Route 66 rather than interstates but this was our choice. Only frustrations were trying to find some of hotels after a long days driving. Although we had a satnav it had difficulty in Oklahoma City (due to roadworks in the city centre), Amarillo (hotel not listed and did not recognise address) and particularly Albuquerque (deposited us 12 miles out of town in the middle of nowhere but 12 miles short of the hotel!). In the last 2 cases it would have helped if we had know the nearest junction number on the interstate to aim for. In fact.I would suggest this would be useful information for all your trips?

Thanks for a great trip, we would have no hesitation taking another on with CNA and recommending you to our friends!

    Regards,

    Neil Hughes

    Hi,

I am just emailing to say thankyou for organising our trip to the USA where we did the Route 66 fly drive. We had a brilliant time and were extremely impressed with the service you provided to us, the information pack is a very good idea and we found it invaluable on our trip.

On a side note aswell, my cousin is getting married next year so we are in the process of organising a stag trip to Las Vegas for him. The best man is starting to get quotes now so I thought I would see what it would be through yourselves. We are looking at 4/5 days, flying out on Wednesday/Thursday and back on Sunday/Monday, staying somewhere on the strip like MGM Grand or similar sort of price range. There will at a rough guess be approx 15 of us travelling but I cant confirm that yet. Do you do just flight and hotel packages and if so, what sort of price are we looking at per person for April 2012?

Thanks again for organising our Route 66 trip,

    Daryl Dampney

    Good day Roger

Earlier this year I booked a holiday with your company for myself and my wife. It was the ‘Route 66′ package. I would just like to say that the holiday was everything and more than what we ever expected. It really must be classed as a holiday of a lifetime.

It has taken me a while to get round to thanking you for the detailed work that you put into making everything so right for us. From day one everything went perfectly and this is only the result of the professionalism you took in making it so.

I understand that you will have many customers but your attention to our individual needs was very much appreciated.

I have spoken to friends and colleagues about our fantastic holiday I have had no hesitation in recommending Complete North America.

Our US driving holiday has spoilt us for any other type of holiday so we are now planning our next sojourn.

    Kind regards

    John

To everyone at Complete North America,

I just wanted to write to say a big thank you to you all for organising our recent trip on Route 66. We have had an amazing time, it was better than i could ever have imagined and every detail of the holiday was perfect. The 2 folders we received were brilliant with all the information we could possibly need which helped us along the way. We had one small problem at the hotel in Chicago where we were told that the room had not been paid for in advance but we contacted the number in the book and it was sorted out immediately. I have already recommended your company to some work colleagues who were interested in doing the Route 66 holiday and were waiting for us to return to tell them about it. I will definitely be booking with you again in the future.

    Once again THANK YOU!!!

    Regards

To all the team at Complete North America

Along with my partner, I have just returned from an amazing road trip across Route 66 organised by yourselves, I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all for an unforgettable holiday/honeymoon.

The professional manor of the way the team organised the trip was second to none, from the start at Los Angeles to the end at Chicago everything was perfect and was an experience we shall never forget.

Again let me thank you for a great time we had in this amazing country, and no doubt we shall return in the near future organised with yourselves.

    Kind regards

    Hello Roger and team

I just wanted to write a quick email to thank you for your work in putting together our Route 66 trip, and for your patience in answering my questions. I am pleased to tell you that everything went smoothly.

It goes without saying that we had the most wonderful time, it was as fun and exciting as we thought it would be, and then some. The choice of hotels and motels was perfect and we were treated with great care and attention wherever we stayed. The Lodge at Grant’s Tail MO and the Colcord in OKC stand out particularly for me, and both so different; the quality of the accommodation was one of the things that made the trip for us.

The material in the handbook was comprehensive and very useful. If were to offer some feedback it would be to supply a conventional road atlas with some notes, as the file was bulky to use in the front of the car, and to pack in the suitcase and I need all the room I can for my shopping!

Again, thank you for all your efforts and we look forward to our next trip!

    Kind regards
    Claire Johnson and Mark Sleightholm

    Dear North America

I recently finished your route 66 fly drive holiday and would like to thank you very much for organising the best holiday i think il ever have. Everything went perfectly with great weather, amazing sights and great people we met along the way. The accomodation booked along the way was first class. From luxury Hilton hotels to quirky lodges and classic motels it made you feel like you were on a true adventure. The only suggestion i would make is taking out the stop off in chinle because its a big detour in a place thats not got much to do and we were dissapointed with the rude staff at the hotel. Regardless of this we loved every second of this trip and didnt want it to end. We have been left with so many stories and photos to show people back home. Hopefully once we have financially recovered from this trip we will be using you again to explore more of America.

    Thanks again

    Dave and Sam
