We just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for arranging our trip around British Columbia. The flights, hotel accommodation and included trips were all first class.
The car rental was beyond what we had thought we would receive. The 4×4 was "all singing, all dancing".
Vancouver was fantastic to start off our trip. The Marriott Hotel was lovely and breakfast was great.
Clearwater was where we saw our first bear! The Clearwater Lodge was lovely and the hotel room was massive and very well equipped.
Jasper was where we saw a few bears, some deer and we think even a caribou! The Whistler’s Inn was very central, the room was on the small side for a three night stay however, it was very comfortable.
Banff was lovely. The Spruce Inn had upgraded us to a loft and the hotel staff gave us vouchers for breakfast! A little disappointed the outdoor pool was out of order (when we had hunted for beach towels!). Lots of individual shops to peruse (no bears though!). Also fantastic restaurant called the Grizzly House Restaurant.
Calgary was very different, reminded us of London. The International Hotel had put us on the 32nd floor as an upgrade we think(Rachael is scared of heights!) - the room was lovely. We can recommend Caesars Steak House just down the road from the hotel.
Salmon Arm was a great contrast after Calgary. Accommodation was lovely but disappointed the outdoor pools were out of order.
Back to Vancouver, we made it for the Celebration of Light (firework competition). That was fantastic. We had our last meal sat overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the sun setting.
We couldn’t have planned the trip better ourselves. Everything went without a hitch. The staff in all the hotels were very friendly and gave us good advice when asked.
We will certainly be recommending you to our families and friends.
Thanks again for a wonderful honeymoon.

Hi David
What a fantastic holiday in a word it was awesome. No problems with any of the bookings . The flight was a bit long
The maps were invaluable ( didnt get lost once) The hotels wre excellent with the exception of the Banf Voyager , its getting a bit dog eared( well used).
We got up graded in the lake louise inn including a kingsized bed .
As for the Prestigous waterfront hotel in Salmon arm absolutely great ( could have done with another day there.
We had a few problems with the car hire at the airport, they tried to fob us off with an 8 to 10 seater bus ( not very comfortable it had bus seats as per corporation buses . We stood our ground and got what we wanted eventually.
Speaking of buses we visited Vancouver Island on the 2nd to last day and during our stroll around the harbour in Victoria we spotted an open topped bus and decided to tour around Victoria , on reaching the bus the destination on the front said Sinfin Lane and just above that Osmaston Road. Apparently they had bought it from Derby several years ago, my wife says she probably travelled on it when she was a child. Small world.
I think Jasper plus the glaciers were the pick of the holiday .
Lake Louise was unbelievable
The Emerald lake was even more so.
Standing on top of the Whistlers( mountains) on only one of thirty days that you can see Mt Robson was outstanding (didnt realise I was so unfit.)
I dont think we could have fitted anything else in .
The staff at the Marriot in Vancouver were great and very helpfull.
John
Thank you for the thank you, there was really no need. The holiday was a fantastic experience and my compliments to whoever put it together, it was really well planned. Information from your Canadian connection was waiting at the Barclay Hotel on our arrival. Once again many thanks
