This is a customer review from the Burrows party who went on a British Columbia holiday at the beginning of July 2016

Dear David,

I have been meaning to write to you and all the staff who dealt with our holiday to Vancouver Island last month but sadly since we’ve got back there has been a bereavement in the family. I have been wanting to thank everyone for a truly fantastic holiday. Everything went really smoothly and we knew that everything would be booked correctly and we could trust that there would be no mistakes.

The weather had its ups and downs but it did not detract from our enjoyment. You might remember we were celebrating our golden wedding and due to your company we certainly did that in style. The accommodation was superb and some of the views from our windows is something we will never forget. When we walked into our villa at the Painted Boat Resort we just went ‘wow’. The whole apartment was wonderful and the little humming bird that flitted passed the window all day long was the icing on the cake. This is the area that a black bear ran in front of our car and I don’t know who was more startled, him or us. The Sunshine Coast didn’t always live up to its title and we were sorry we couldn’t explore more of the little villages due to the heavy rain. It still didn’t spoil our fun and walking through unspoilt forests with their ferns and mosses was inspirational.

We loved Vancouver and Victoria and wish we had had more time to explore more places in the area but Ucluelet and Torfino have to be the highlight of the holiday. On our boat trip out we were rewarded with the sight of grey whales, sea otters, bald headed eagles, seals of many types and dolphins. We loved the isolation of the area with wide open beaches and lovely walks through very old forests. Again not enough time. It was a long drive from Ucluelet to Victoria and we feel we missed some of the sights. It isn’t until you get onto the island that you realise how big and how diversified the area is. We tried the local wines and ate the cherries (the biggest I’ve ever seen!). The island was everything I hoped it would be – and more. What a way to celebrate a special occasion.

As you can probably make out we just didn’t have enough time and having been there once we would love to return. Next time we might miss out the Sunshine Coast but having said that we did enjoy the area.

Yet again Complete North America came up trumps. We would certainly recommend them to anyone wanting a holiday in North America. Every holiday with your company has been excellent and we have so many wonderful memories. We are already saving up for the next holiday and it will probably be Vancouver Island again.

Thank you all again for the meticulous planning and choice of where to go,

Best wishes
Maggie Burrows
