New York’s nickname is the ‘Empire State’ for its wealth and variety of resources. George Washington also called New York ‘the seat of the Empire’ in 1784.

Weather

New York’s climate is similar to the UK, however the summers tend to be a little more consistent and a little warmer while winter is cooler with temperatures hovering around zero from November through to February. In summer temperatures are expected to be frequently in the mid 20C’s.

Best time to visit

The winter and spring months in New York are particularly beautiful. Cold crisp days with a glistening white blanket of snow are common place. And of course the fall season is magnificent as the leaves of Central Park start to change from mid-September through to mid-October and it is a sight to behold.
