INNS OF NEW ENGLAND

For this tour we utilise smaller very personal New England Inn’s for which this region is famous for, they are not the kind of properties you will find anywhere else in North America and do indeed capture the essence of the New England experience. For us they are just as important as the route itself.

Quick facts:

Time Zone: GMT – 5
Flight time from UK: 7 hours 30 minutes (to Boston – no direct flights exists from the UK to Rhode Island)

Rhode Island’s nickname is the ‘Ocean State’ because by car you are never further than half an hour away from the sea.

Weather

Rhode Island’s climate is similar to the UK, however the summers tend to be a little warmer and you should also allow for rapidly changing conditions in the mountain regions. In summer temperatures are expected to be consistently mid 20C’s while winters are often below 0.

Best time to visit

The winter and spring months in New England are particularly beautiful. Cold crisp days with a glistening white blanket of snow are common place. And of course the fall season is magnificent as the leaves start to change from mid-September through to mid-October where New England experiences autumn like no other places across the US.
