Quick facts:

Time Zone: GMT – 7
Flight time from UK: 10 hours (to Denver – no direct flight exists from the UK to Wyoming)

Wyoming’s state nickname is the ‘Equality State’ because of its civil rights history and its official motto is ‘Equal Rights’.

Weather

They call Chicago the ‘Windy City’ but Wyoming is the windy state as it experiences windier conditions than anywhere else in the USA. Winters can get very cold and its rare that temperatures will ever get above 0, however in the summer are consistently warm with temperatures average between 29 and 35C across the state.

Best time to visit

During the Summer months, June – September, the weather should be favourable in all areas. During the Autumn / Winter months, October-May weather is less predictable and snowfall and road closures are common in many areas with driving access to Yellowstone National Park prohibited.
