Utah’s nickname is the ‘Beehive State’, which was adopted in 1847 to represent the qualities of industry, perseverance, thrift, stability, and self-reliance; all virtues respected by the region’s settlers.
Weather
Utah predominantly has a desert type climate although because of the mountain areas temperatures can different depending on your whereabouts in the state. Winters are cold throughout the state averaging 0 from November to March. Summers average in the 20’s to mid 30’s from May to September.
Best time to visit
During the Summer months, June – September, the weather should be favourable and particularly warm. During the Winter months, November – April weather is less predictable and snowfall and road closures are common in many areas.
