Virginia offers quite a mild climate compared to the rest of the United States. Summers often see temperatures in the 30C’s while winters average at below 0C.
Best time to visit
As you venture to the mountain area, temperatures are likely to drop notably though in summer it should still be very pleasant. However mountain weather is unpredictable and layered clothing is the best and most versatile attire to wear.
