Explore the Newfoundland & Labrador.

Welcome to the land where the sun first rises over North America! Newfoundland and Labrador is a land of unique experiences – how about getting eye to eye with a 30-tonne humpback whale? Or watching as icebergs drift by on the horizon and the sky fills with seabirds that nest here in their millions. You can visit the first European settlement in North American, built by the Vikings five centuries before Columbus bumped into the Caribbean, and marvel at the outstanding beauty of Gros Morne National Park. You’ll travel through small ‘outports’ – that’s fishing villages to you and I – with names to capture the imagination. From Cupids and Heart’s Desire to Tickle Cove and Heart’s Content you’ll see why is so easy to fall in love with this land.

Newfoundland & Labrador is big – about the size of California – but with only half-million residents you won’t be bumping elbows with fellow explorers at every turn. This is a land to explore, with a rich and varied history, colourful coastal communities and natural wonders aplenty.

DISCOVER NEWFOUNDLAND & LABRADOR YOUR WAY.

Take it as you see it or change it to suit. All C.N.A. holidays can be tailored to suit your own tastes & budget.

All our holidays offer complete financial protection and you will receive a uniquely personalised travelling pack to ensure you get the most from your adventure.

St. John’s, the provincial capital, is a combination of picturesque and colourful houses, pubs and restaurants. It’s a melting pot of heritage and culture giving the city a lively personality. Here you can shop in modern malls, tiny boutiques, or old time fisherman’s outfitting stores; wander the brightly lit docks, or eat seafood by the harbour.

Overnight – St. John’s

Day 2

Enjoy your day in St. John’s, capital of Newfoundland & Labrador. Take a hike to Signal Hill, visit Cape Spear, the most easterly point in North America, and enjoy a Puffin and Whale Tour in Bay Bulls.

Overnight – St John’s

Day 3 & 4
St. John’s to Trinity / Port Rexton

The Bonavista Peninsula is one of the most historic and beautiful parts of the province. This is where John Cabot (Giovanni Caboto) landed in 1497 and claimed this ”New Founde Lande” for England. Whale cruises are available in the Trinity area.

Overnight – Trinity Bay

Day 5
Trinity to Twillingate
310 km

Terra Nova National Park features inlets and islands jutting into Bonavista Bay. Excellent walking trails and a boat tour provide chances to view the magnificent landscape. Follow the “Road to the Isles”, which takes you by a series of little causeways to remote Twillingate on Notre Dame Bay. This is one of the best areas for observing icebergs in early summer, and boat tours go out to the icebergs several times most days.

Overnight – Twillingate

Day 6
Twillingate

Located on the edge of what is known as Iceberg Alley, Twillingate is affectionately known as the Iceberg Capital of the world. Many of these 10,000 year old iceberg giants float by quietly each year and people travel great distances just to chance a glance. In the morning, enjoy an Iceberg & Whale Cruise. Plenty of walking trails are awaiting you in the area – you may find one to explore in the afternoon.

Overnight – Twillingate

Day 7

Labrador! One of the world’s last frontiers lies just across the Strait of Belle Isle. A 1½ hour ferry trip (included) from St Barbe brings you to Blanc Sablon, Quebec on the Labrador border. It is only a short drive to the scenic fishing outport of L’Anse-au-Clair in Labrador.

Overnight – L’Anse-au-Clair

An 80 km paved road takes you along the southern coast. One of Canada‘s most impressive lighthouses is located in L’Anse Amour, as well as the earliest known funeral monument in America…9000 years old. Do I need a visa to travel to the usa?

In most circumstances, no visa is required for travel to the USA for any British Citizen passport holder and many other European passport holders, whose countries qualify for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). This program permits entry for up to 90 days for business or leisure purposes. Everyone must apply to use the VWP via the online Electronic System of Travel Authorization (ESTA).  Advice states this should be done online at least 72 hours prior to departure. On payment of the $14 fee this system usually issues an electronic confirmation within minutes but this is not guaranteed and there are certain criteria travellers must consider before applying via ESTA to use the Visa Waiver Program. Once granted the VWP authorization is valid for 2 years.

It is essential that everyone who plans to travel to the United States reads the information contained on the following page – Visa Waiver Program

Please note : From 21st January 2016 The United States implemented changes to the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) as part of the Terrorist Travel Protection Act of 2015. One of the major changes implemented in January excludes any British National who has travelled to Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, or Yemen since March 01st 2011 from using the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Full details are contained on the above link but those affected will need to apply for a Visitor Visa with the U.S. Embassy before booking their travel arrangements.

You are advised to complete your ESTA prior to confirming any travel arrangements.

To use ESTA now please only use the following website – Official ESTA Website

Complete North America Limited cannot be held responsible for cancellation charges incurred by travellers who have booked travel and are subsequently unable to travel as part of the VWP or who are unable to obtain a Visitor Visa. If you have any questions after reading the information supplied above please speak to a member of our team.

Do I need a visa to travel to Canada?

British Nationals and travellers from other European countries can enjoy visa-exempt travel to and via Canada but must first use the online Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) at a cost of CA$7.00 per person. Most online applications are approved with minutes by email but the process can take longer particularly if supporting documentation is requested. An eTA is valid for 5 years and allows you to travel for up to 6 months on any one visit.

You are advised to apply for your eTA prior to confirming any travel arrangements.

For applications and full information on the scheme please only visit – Official Canadian Government eTA Website

Complete North America Limited cannot be held responsible for cancellation charges incurred by travellers who have booked travel and are subsequently unable to travel as part of the eTA scheme or who are unable to obtain a Visitor Visa. If you have any questions after reading the information supplied above please speak to a member of our team.
