Important Update: National Park Entrance Fee Changes for 2026
Effective January 1, 2026, the cost of the America the Beautiful Annual Pass for non-U.S. residents will increase from $80 to $250. This pass is valid for 12 months and provides entry to all U.S. National Parks as well as many federal recreation sites. It covers one non-commercial vehicle or two motorbikes.
Without an annual pass, international visitors will pay standard park admission fees — for example, currently $35 per vehicle at Grand Canyon and Yosemite — plus an additional $100 per person, per park, making the annual pass the most cost-effective option.
The additional $100 per person fee will apply at the following parks: Acadia National Park Bryce Canyon National Park Everglades National Park Glacier National Park Grand Canyon National Park Grand Teton National Park Rocky Mountain National Park Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks Yellowstone National Park Yosemite National Park Zion National Park
How to Purchase the Annual Pass? "Digital” Annual Passes can be purchased here: nps.gov . The price will remain $80 until December 31, and the pass will be valid through December 2026. The online purchase process is simple, and the digital pass can be saved to an Apple Wallet. A printable paper version is also available. Please note: many parks have limited cellular or Wi-Fi coverage, so ensure the pass is saved to your device or printed in advance. ... See MoreSee Less

In most of the U.S., you’re legally allowed to turn right at a red light after coming to a complete stop, as long as the intersection is clear and there’s no “NO TURN ON RED” sign. This catches many international drivers off guard!
A few extra quick pointers: 🚗 Speed limits are strictly enforced, especially on highways. 🚗 Distances are huge — plan fuel stops earlier than you think. 🚗 Four-way stops work on a “first come, first go” rule.

Final Night/Day - Philadelphia. So to round off our trip we had the chance to stay with good friends just outside Philadelphia. We took the train which again was comfortable and quick. Arriving on Halloween, we had the chance to ‘Walk the neighbourhood’ with my friends and their 2 young daughters. What a treat (Pardon the pun) to see all the houses decorated and to experience the incredibly fun and welcoming atmosphere.. there were bbq’s, drinks and of course stacks of candy for the kids.
The following day before our flight out friends gave us a whistle stop tour of Philadelphia which was great. We climbed the Rocky steps from the movie, toured the old town a little, saw the Liberty Bell and dropped in on the sports stadiums, home of the current Superbowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. Alas.. it was all to brief a visit and it was time to say goodbye. Another pleasant flight back with British Airways in under 6 hours on a fair wind had us back to a dull wet Blighty morning, but looking back on a fabulous trip with lots of great information for me to share with would be visitors. ... Day 7 - New York So the wet day duly arrived, and as forecast it was very wet which meant a day of ducking in and out to do indoor things. For me it was meetings with hotels to ensure I have a good feel for the various options open to our customers in New York according to their budget, and for family members it was the Friends Experience and shopping. We rounded off our stay in New York with a visit to a traditional New York chop house, all in all a great visit to the Big Apple for everyone, such a unique experience, and with our New York & New England itinerary you can do it all. ...
