PRE-TOUR PACKAGE 3 DAYS/2 NIGHTS

Day 1
Seattle

Arrive at your Seattle hotel, conveniently located near sights, restaurants and shops. This evening explore Seattle and its many multi-cultural dining options.

Day 2
Seattle

Begin the day with a tour to the Boeing assembly plant, home to legendary planes like the 747, 777 and the world’s most advanced jetliner – the 787 Dreamliner. Go inside the world’s largest building to view airplanes in various stages of assembly and visit the interactive exhibits at the Future of Flight Museum. In the afternoon, make your way to Chihuly Garden & Glass. This not-to-be-missed exhibition includes eight Galleries, the centerpiece Glasshouse and a lush Glass Garden.

Day 3/Day 1
Seattle – Mt Rainier – Seattle

Today, join Evergreen Escapes on their tour to Washington’s crown-jewel, Mt. Rainier, encased in more than 35 square miles of snow and ice. Binoculars and cameras are a must on this day-long expedition amid the active volcano’s surrounding old-growth forests, alpine meadows, lakes and waterfalls. Your guide will deepen the small-group experience with naturalist interpretation as you take in the sights and sounds along the drive, and while walking in the park. Afterwards, return to Seattle to meet with non-pre-tour group members arriving today.

MAIN TOUR PACKAGE

Day 1
Seattle

Group members who are not on the pre-tour will arrive today.

This evening, mingle with other group members at a meet and greet reception hosted by our guide, a beer aficionado and destination specialist. We’ll be given an introduction to our 8-day exploration of the Pacific Northwest’s unrivalled beauty; spectacular waterfalls and lakes, magnificent mountains and volcanic monuments, young, vibrant cities—and some of the most imaginative craft beers in the country.

Day 2
Seattle

This morning we’ll tour Seattle, an unpretentious port city populated with natural and cultural amenities that epitomise the attraction of the Northwest. Visit its colourful neighbourhoods and iconic attractions such as historic Pioneer Square, and the Space Needle.

This afternoon will be for tastings. The proliferation of Seattle craft breweries is mind boggling. The city’s small-batch producers tend to know their stuff, producing solid line-ups of supremely drinkable IPAs, stouts, and more.

You’ll find loads of restaurants this evening serving regional cuisine paired with specially selected brews. Seattle dishes are heavily influenced by Asian and Native American traditions and typically feature locally-caught seafood.

Day 3
Seattle – Portland

Pike Place Market is as much a part of Seattle’s identity as the evergreens, the mountains, and the water. Past or present members of the Pike Place Market community will guide us through the market ensuring we receive special treatment. Meet the Market’s lively characters and hear their memorable stories. See fish fly, cheese being made, and the “original” Starbucks store, and savour tastings at no less than 7 food stalls.

Upon arrival in Portland, there’ll be time to relax, have dinner and taste some of the local brews before meeting up for a special evening program. You’ll be given real ghost hunting equipment before visiting known ghostly places and getting behind the scenes into what hauntings are all about. This is not a theatrical performance. It’s a true view into the reality of paranormal investigations .

Day 4
Portland

Portland sits on the Columbia and Willamette rivers, in the shadow of snow-capped Mount Hood. Upon arrival we’ll enjoy an orientation tour of the city and its iconic gardens. This afternoon, explore more of the city on your choice of tours. Join a bicycle tour that will take us to breweries featuring local classics as well as innovative and fresh flavors or enjoy a walking tour to some of the downtown area’s most unique restaurants, food emporiums and food trucks, all while experiencing the City of Roses’ eclectic mix of neighbourhoods.

Day 1
Portland – Columbia River Gorge – Bend

Spend this day taking in the beauty of two major Pacific Northwest rivers: the Columbia and Hood Rivers. We’ll visit Columbia River Gorge and experience the power and beauty of nature up close at Multnomah Falls, a 611-foot-tall (186m) roaring, awe-inspiring cascade of icy water. We’ll then stop at some of the 12 breweries in this area. Imaginative flavors are created here using local malts, hops and fresh fruit in its beers.

Our drive continues south to Bend, known for its richly diverse cultural landscape, award-winning dining and boutique shopping,

Day 6
Bend – Crater Lake – Ashland

Today we’ll travel to Crater Lake National Park. Created by a collapsed volcano after a violent eruption more than 7,000 years ago, scientists marvel at its purity. Fed only by rain and snow, it’s the deepest lake in the US at nearly 600m. Stand in wonder at its blue water and stunning setting. A National Park Ranger will talk to us about the Park’s origins and special features before we take a leisurely hike filled with breathtaking views and photo opportunities.

Continue to Ashland and enjoy the downtown this evening. ranked in the top 10 of “The 100 Best Small Art Towns in America,” Ashland is a cultural hot spot, with award-winning galleries, theaters and restaurants .

Day 7
Ashland – Eugene – Cannon Beach

This morning we’ll tour the city of Eugene, home to the University of Oregon and a prominent arts community. After a short walking tour, we’ll stop in an area of Eugene aligned with local breweries, all part of Eugene’s Ale Trail. Ultra pure water from the McKenzie River and an emphasis on local and regional ingredients from hops to grains makes these local beers bold and flavourful.

This evening we arrive in the coastal community of Cannon Beach. Cannon Beach combines the inspiring beauty of the Oregon Coast with a picture-perfect village by the sea.

We’ll enjoy an included final night dinner paired with local brews, overlooking magnificent Haystack Rock.

Day 8
Cannon Beach – Seattle

Start the day with a walk on the beach to dramatic shoreline rock formations like Haystack Rock. Haystack Rock is one of Oregon’s most recognisable landmarks, rising 235 feet from the edge of the shoreline. Cannon Beach also offers the quintessential small beach town experience. You’ll have time to wander the picturesque sidewalks and courtyards of downtown Cannon Beach to discover art galleries, speciality shops, and public art.

We depart for Seattle early afternoon. You may be dropped off at the Seattle-Tacoma airport or downtown Seattle this evening.

Do I need a visa to travel to the usa?

In most circumstances, no visa is required for travel to the USA for any British Citizen passport holder and many other European passport holders, whose countries qualify for the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). This program permits entry for up to 90 days for business or leisure purposes. Everyone must apply to use the VWP via the online Electronic System of Travel Authorization (ESTA).  Advice states this should be done online at least 72 hours prior to departure. On payment of the $14 fee this system usually issues an electronic confirmation within minutes but this is not guaranteed and there are certain criteria travellers must consider before applying via ESTA to use the Visa Waiver Program. Once granted the VWP authorization is valid for 2 years.

It is essential that everyone who plans to travel to the United States reads the information contained on the following page – Visa Waiver Program

Please note : From 21st January 2016 The United States implemented changes to the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) as part of the Terrorist Travel Protection Act of 2015. One of the major changes implemented in January excludes any British National who has travelled to Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, or Yemen since March 01st 2011 from using the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Full details are contained on the above link but those affected will need to apply for a Visitor Visa with the U.S. Embassy before booking their travel arrangements.

You are advised to complete your ESTA prior to confirming any travel arrangements.

To use ESTA now please only use the following website – Official ESTA Website

Complete North America Limited cannot be held responsible for cancellation charges incurred by travellers who have booked travel and are subsequently unable to travel as part of the VWP or who are unable to obtain a Visitor Visa. If you have any questions after reading the information supplied above please speak to a member of our team.

Do I need a visa to travel to Canada?

British Nationals and travellers from other European countries can enjoy visa-exempt travel to and via Canada but must first use the online Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) at a cost of CA$7.00 per person. Most online applications are approved with minutes by email but the process can take longer particularly if supporting documentation is requested. An eTA is valid for 5 years and allows you to travel for up to 6 months on any one visit.

You are advised to apply for your eTA prior to confirming any travel arrangements.

For applications and full information on the scheme please only visit – Official Canadian Government eTA Website

Complete North America Limited cannot be held responsible for cancellation charges incurred by travellers who have booked travel and are subsequently unable to travel as part of the eTA scheme or who are unable to obtain a Visitor Visa. “We had the holiday of a lifetime in Canada.

Thanks so much for your meticulous planning and perfect tour of this amazing part of Canada – it was even better than I hoped! Knight Inlet was absolutely stunning and we were so lucky to see grizzly bears, a black bear close up, bald eagles, ospreys, deer and lots of amazing wildlife. The drive from Jasper to Banff with the green lakes and snow covered mountains was drop jaw beautiful! The whole trip was incredible and will remain a lifelong cherished memory for all the family.”
